Botox® and Dysport® Cosmetic Treatment
Botox® and Dysport® (neuromodulators) Cosmetic can be used to reduce the appearance of fine to deep dynamic wrinkles found between the brows and around the eyes. When injected with a small micro-needle, these products relax targeted muscle groups to smooth wrinkles and diminish their appearance over time. Results achieved with Botox® and Dysport® Cosmetic are temporary, lasting up to six months before repeat treatment at our La Jolla office is necessary. Often, facelift and eyelid surgery patients undergo Botox® and Dysport® Cosmetic treatment to enhance their results.

Dermal Filler Injections
Dermal fillers can smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Temporary dermal fillers such as Restylane® and the Juvederm® family have been FDA approved for the cosmetic treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and soft tissue depressions. Dermal fillers can also be applied to the lips to restore youthful volume or to simply create better proportion to naturally thin lips. These injectable gels can also be used for the cheek area adding volume to the face creating aesthetically pleasing contours and dimensions. The fillers used at our office are composed mainly of hyaluronic acid, a volume-maintaining substance found naturally in the human body; Restylane® and the Juvederm® Family rarely cause allergic reactions and have little to no downtime. The newer generation of dermal fillers allow for natural expression and animation while the first generation provides structure where needed.

Kybella™
Kybella™ (deoxycholic acid) is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), commonly referred to as a “double chin.” Kybella™ is the first and only FDA-approved injectable drug that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness. When injected into subcutaneous fat, Kybella™ causes destruction of fat cells; once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.
