BOTOX® Cosmetic Treatment

BOTOX® Cosmetic can be used to reduce the appearance of fine to deep wrinkles found between the brows, around the eyes, and along the forehead. When injected with a small micro-needle, BOTOX® Cosmetic relaxes targeted muscle groups to smooth wrinkles and diminish their appearance over time. Results achieved with BOTOX® Cosmetic are temporary, lasting up to six months before repeat treatment at our La Jolla office is necessary. Often, facelift and eyelid surgery patients undergo BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment to enhance their results.

Restylane® Application

Restylane® is an FDA-approved dermal filler which reduces the appearance of facial wrinkles and adds volume to the lips. When injected beneath wrinkles with a fine needle, Restylane® causes skin cells to bond with water molecules, plumping the skin and diminishing the severity of the wrinkles. Restylane® can also be applied along the lip border to reduce creasing and restore youthful volume, or simply to enlarge the appearance of naturally thin lips. Composed mainly of hyaluronic acid, a volume-maintaining substance found naturally in the human body, Restylane® rarely causes allergic reactions and is extremely safe. The results achieved with Restylane® usually last up to six months, and some patients have even reported results lasting up to a year.
