Facelift

Deep creases, loose facial skin, jowls, and loose neck muscles can be corrected by Dr. Barttelbort through facelift. For patients with diminished skin elasticity due to environmental factors or aging, facelift provides significant aesthetic improvement by surgically lifting, smoothing and tightening both skin and the underlying musculature to achieve a more youthful appearance.

THE FACELIFT PROCEDURE

At a fully accredited surgical facility, the facelift procedure begins with carefully placed incisions. Next, Dr. Barttelbort tightens and secures the facial and neck muscles with fine sutures, then lifts and removes excess skin. The remaining skin is then smoothed, redraped, and secured with sutures. If necessary, a neck lift can be performed in conjunction with facelift to provide additional rejuvenation of the chin and jawline. Neck lift requires only a small incision under the chin through which Dr. Barttelbort removes excess fat and skin, and tightens the neck muscles, effectively improving neck contours, neck bands and sagging skin.

The condition of your skin and the supporting tissues will determine the degree of rejuvenation that can be accomplished through facelift. Generally, our patients are very satisfied with their facelift results, emerging from the procedure looking years younger.
